Survive News Edition 44 – Pope Francis was admitted to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14, 2025, due to a respiratory infection that developed into bilateral pneumonia. After 37 days in hospital, he was discharged on March 23, 2025 and returned to the Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican to continue his recovery, which includes a period of at least two months of security.

Before leaving the hospital, the Pope made a brief public appearance, greeting the faithful from the window of his room at the Gemelli Hospital.

· Former President Jair Bolsonaro is facing several lawsuits in Brazil. Recently, the First Chamber of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) unanimously decided to charge him with attempted coup d’état, along with seven allies. This decision was made on March 26, 2025.

Lollapalooza Brazil 2025

True Crime Preview

Every week I’ll choo a true horror history about somebody… I’ll say a little information and in a day of the week I’ll read all the case… So the first one is this.

George Stinney Jr. was a 14-year-old African American boy who was wrongfully convicted and executed in 1944 in South Carolina. He was accused of murdering two white girls, Betty June Binnicker (11) and Mary Emma Thames (7). The trial was rushed, lasting only a few hours, and Stinney was convicted by an all-white jury with little evidence. His court-appointed lawyer did not present a defense, and the jury deliberated for just 10 minutes before sentencing him to death by electric chair. In 2014, after new evidence and legal reviews, a South Carolina judge overturned Stinney’s conviction, ruling that he had not received a fair trial. His case is now considered one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in U.S. history.
